Next Gen Ministry & Resources

Family Ministry

What Is NextGen Ministry?

NextGen Ministry seeks to partner the church and family to help lead the Next Generation to Christ. It includes our Preschool, Children and Student Ministries.

How Do We Partner Together? We Do That in Two Ways...

1) We use a strategy to spiritually grow children. It Includes benchmarks for each “phase” of childhood.

2) We offer resources that help families grow spiritually.

Whether a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle has the responsibility for the spiritual growth of a child, we are here to help!

What is our strategy?

It's simple. It starts with two individual influences in a child’s life HOME & CHURCH

Alone, these two work hard to ensure that every child has a BETTER FUTURE

But when they’re combined, the home and church will have a GREATER IMPACT

Cathy Jones

Cathy has been in Preschool/Children’s Ministry for 28 years, and 14 of those have been at Cross City. She loves trains, sewing, crafting, football and reading a good book, but spending time with Gary and any assortment of kids and grandkids makes her heart the happiest. Vision for Cross City Preschool Ministry

Everything we teach our preschoolers is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths that give preschoolers a first impression of their loving heavenly Father. First Look is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitive, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age-appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.

God Made Me • God Loves Me • Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

Vision for Cross City Children’s Ministry

Everything we teach in 252 Basics is based on one of three basic, but powerful, truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52, “...and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man.”

I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Preteen Competencies

Our curriculum allows us, the church, to incorporate our own benchmarks into what we’re learning each week.

By the time your child completes 6th grade in 1st Euless Kids they will be able to do the following:

Know and locate the books of the Bible, their basic grouping, specific passages and key biblical people and events.
Learn and share the truth of the Gospel message.
Learn and use spiritual gifts.

Establish and practice spiritual disciplines.
