Cross City Church is excited to introduce Misael Rivera as our prospective Pastor of Cross City Español. Misael currently serves as our volunteer Associate Pastor of Cross City Español alongside Chuy Avila, who will retire at the end of July. When asked whether any names should be considered as his successor, Chuy confidently recommended Misael. After a thorough process involving a search team from Cross City Español and Pastor John Meador, our Personnel Committee unanimously approved Misael as the clear choice.
Misael and his wife, Adriana, have four children, Paola, Natanael, Yosari, and Alejandra, who all began attending Cross City in 2020. Prior to serving with us, Misael served as a Student Pastor for First Baptist Keller’s Spanish-speaking congregation and as pastor for a church in Little Elm. He feels a strong calling to lead our Spanish-speaking congregation into the next era of ministry. Both he and Adriana are already respected and beloved by the people of Cross City Español, and we’re looking forward to working with Misael in the years ahead!
Campus Pastor candidates are recommended by the Lead Pastor and approved by our Personnel Committee.
