Cross City Kids is a safe, supportive place where kids can grow, learn, and have fun! Every week, there’s a new way for kids to discover REAL life that Christ offers. Your children will have a blast seeing how much God loves them, how important they are, and what it means to trust Jesus.

We're with you all the way
Kids ministry does so much more than teach kids on Sunday morning. The kids’ staff team partners with parents by providing ways to keep the conversation going all week long! Our family ministry helps parents better connect with their kids, have conversations about important topics, and celebrate life’s most important milestones.

Our staff and volunteers want kids to remember the truth they learn, so they always strive to make it fun. Because we believe that the truth found in God’s Word is life-changing, we make sure that your kids have a chance to learn something new every week—and have a great time doing it!
Keeping your kids safe
Safety is a top priority for us. We work to keep our facilities safe for your kids and use a check-in system to ensure that your child is released securely. Volunteers are screened regularly, and our procedures have been thoughtfully designed to protect the kids in our care.
Special Needs
For all kids
All kids are a gift from God, specially designed in His image. While we are a ministry of volunteers and not trained specialists, we strive to include all kids to the best of our ability. If you have a child with special needs, please contact us before your first visit so we can learn about your family and how to provide a safe, engaging place for your child to learn about and experience God’s love.

Kids - Sundays Preschool

More than care
Preschoolers have great fun at Cross City Church. There is no one more important than the next generation, which is why Cross City provides much more than childcare. Each time your child joins us on a Sunday morning, they will have time to play and time to learn in a fun, engaging way.
Kids are encouraged to build life-long friendships from the very beginning. They are grouped by age and move up together throughout the preschool experience. Preschoolers and their families build bonds with leaders and other families from their class as they learn about Jesus together.
Kids - Sundays Grades 1-4

9:30 am - 10:45 am
Kids Connection
The 9:30 Connection hour is all about making the Bible real for kids. They will explore the wonder of God’s word in lessons that combine literacy skills from Bible Drill with engaging lessons from Wonder Ink. Kids will have a blast in hands-on, engaging activities that encourage them to memorize God’s Word, find key passages, and connect with other kids their age.
10:45 am - 12:00 pm
Kids Worship
During the 11:00 hour, kids will join a service designed just for them as they learn what it means to worship their Creator! They’ll explore how the Bible is more than just a book; it belongs in their hearts and everyday lives. Each week, kids will join the same small group and build friendships with other kids—friends who can support each other as they look for biblical answers to life’s big questions and grow in their faith.
Kids - Sundays Grades 5-6
9:30 am - 10:45 am
Big questions need solid answers
Preteens have big questions, and we know that God’s word is where they’ll find the answers. The 9:30 Connection hour is the main time for preteens to meet up for lessons that are interactive and engaging with games, object lessons, discussion questions, and more. Fifth and sixth graders worship God, explore their faith, and connect with faithful friends in a space designed especially for them.
11:00 am - 12:15 pm
Worship and Bible Drill
During these transition years, preteens attend worship with their parents. Alternatively, kids who regularly attend the 9:30 Connection hour are invited to participate in Bible Drill, a competitive program that offers a unique mix of activities that will help kids build strong Bible skills, strong life application, and a strong foundation of biblical literacy.
Kids - Wednesdays Preschool

6:30 pm - 8 pm
Parents who are participating in Equip classes can reserve a spot for their preschooler in Wednesday night preschool care. All kids enjoy engaging, hands-on activities that extend the Sunday morning lesson as they play and learn. Older preschoolers have a blast in Pajama Jam, our youngest kids’ choir, where they sing, play handbells, and prepare for 2 performances a year.

Kids - Wednesdays
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
3 options
Kids who have parents attending a Wednesday night class are invited to choose between 3 exciting tracks: Identity, Shout! and Precepts.
Identity
Through Identity, kids learn the basics of the Christian faith and discover how they can use their hobbies and talents to serve and glorify God. Through drama, art, science, and even service projects, this mid-week check-in challenges kids to live Sunday’s lesson every day.
Shout!
In Shout!, kids will learn music basics and creative movements as they train to lead worship and glorify God. Shout leaders nurture a foundation of service to the Lord and instill the importance of sharing Jesus through the gift of song. Shout kids help lead worship at Christmas and have a special spring presentation.
Precept
Precept Bible studies introduce inductive Bible study to kids with a fully biblical, fully exciting study series. Lively narratives and illustrations bring Bible stories to life, and the studies will start young people on a journey to become “students for life.” These classes are geared for kids but not watered down because even at young ages, children have the need and the ability to “Discover, Go Deeper, and Disciple.”
Kids - Kidscape
Have fun with us!
Come and enjoy the Kidscape! It’s a place for kids to play and parents to relax. Your kids can play on the three-story indoor Kidscape or the toddler soft play area while you enjoy a cup of coffee and connect with new friends. Click the link to find out more!
