We’re excited to announce that Cross City has acquired land to build a home for our North Campus! The campus, which recently celebrated five years of reaching people, currently meets at Caprock Elementary in North Fort Worth. Now, we look forward to a permanent home to serve as the hub of North’s ministry.
Kent Wells, our North Campus Pastor, shared the news with his campus on Sunday, June 2. He believes “Securing this place for Cross City North is further proof that the best days are ahead for us.” Kent, his team, and those who attend the campus work tirelessly, converting a school cafeteria into a place for worship, ministering to kids, and welcoming the community every Sunday. The purchase of this property is a crucial part of the long-term vision for reaching one of the fastest-growing areas in the state.
The newly acquired 6.2 acres of land is only a few miles from their current meeting location in the rapidly growing city of Haslet and near communities where thousands of homes will be built. It’s also near the popular Alliance shopping and commerce center and about a mile west of 35W, with easy access for anyone in the region. Pastor John Meador, who was actively involved in the search, says, “The future location for our North Campus is now secured by God’s amazing supervision. This location places us in the corridor for new growth in the Northwest Independent School District. We are positioned to reach many, many people with the gospel in the days ahead!”
Through God’s blessing and the generosity of His people, we’ve purchased the property without debt using funds designated for this purpose. Our Budget and Finance Committee has guided us through each step and now is helping with early preparations to build. As we develop the property, all of us will have an opportunity to participate in making the vision a reality. Stay tuned for more in the days ahead, and join us in thanking God for this opportunity to have a permanent presence for our North Campus!
