Committees at Cross City

Committees are a vital part of our ministry here at Cross City as we take the message of Christ to our community and to the world.

Help find the leaders that will shape our future and represent the Cross City family in making big-picture decisions. Consider volunteering or nominating someone you trust and respect who is actively involved in our church to serve with our Personnel Committee, Budget & Finance Committee, Missions Committee, or Committee on Committees. Pick up a form in Connection, at Guest Central, or online.

Below is a list and short description of the different committees here at Cross City:

Personnel Committee
Works with staff to oversee personnel matters, interview and recommend ministers (except Lead Pastor), set personnel budget, and approve employment policies, salaries, and benefits.  Typically meets monthly on Sundays after worship.

Budget & Finance Committee
Oversees business/financial affairs, including annual budget, capital expenditures, and asset usage. Recommends fiscal responsibility guidelines and monitors financial reporting.  Typically meets monthly on Sundays after worship.

Missions Committee
Helps Minister of Missions lead missional culture, oversee missions & benevolence funds, and engage people in missional efforts – e.g., local ministry partnerships, mission trips, missions emphases, and satellite/church plants.  Typically meets monthly on Sundays after worship.

Committee on Committees
Interviews/recommends new committee members while avoiding any potential conflicts of interest.  Typically meets throughout September on Sundays after worship.
