Church Family,
I’m excited to introduce our prospective Executive Pastor of Finance and Administration, Dr. John Mann. Many already know Dr. Mann and his wife, Sandy. They joined Cross City in 2024, and he’s made an immediate impact. He was recognized as a leader right away and was invited to teach one of our largest Connection Groups. As I’ve come to know him, I’ve increasingly seen his unique skill set. Not only is he a well-trained theologian, but he also has a mind and passion for administration.
When Chris Muckleroy told me about his new role with the Bucket Ministry, I prayed for a leader to rise from within our church—someone who loves Cross City and is qualified to lead in this crucial role. John’s name quickly stood out. Altogether, he has more than twenty-five years of pastoral and leadership experience. Most recently, he served at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as Assistant to the President for Constituent Relations. Prior to his role at SWBTS, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Jacksonville College. He also served as a lead pastor for 20 years and as a trustee for the International Mission Board. He holds an Advanced Master of Divinity and a PhD in Systematic Theology and Preaching from SWBTS, as well as an MBA from Baylor University.
John has the kind of experience we were looking for, with a proven ability to lead and a time-tested love for the Lord. Our Personnel Committee and I are confident he’s the right person to serve with us as we move forward. Come meet John and Sandy on March 22 at 9:30 and 10:30 am on the Euless Campus. John’s start date will be April 20, allowing him and Chris to work together through May. I’m also happy to answer any questions about John and his role here at Cross City Church and encourage you to reach out to Personnel Chairman Mike May or me before March 26 at [email protected].
Looking forward to the days ahead!
