The Abiding Church in Los Angeles aims to raise $100,000 to support families impacted by recent crises. 100% of funds given or raised to go directly to victims. The church is focused on 52 families with direct ties to their church who have lost their homes.
1. Rapid Response
Abiding is addressing immediate needs by providing shelter and gift cards for families waiting for assistance from FEMA and GoFundMe. Currently, the church is housing four families, with many others reaching out for help.
2. Midterm Support
Abiding is focused on helping families secure permanent shelter and assisting local businesses with smoke damage cleanup. Additionally, they identified 30 students who lost their belongings. Their goal is to rebuild their wardrobes.
3. Long-Term Commitment
The church is committing to adopt five families who have lost everything. Over the next year, The Abiding Church will stay in contact with these families, offering practical assistance and prayer as needed. These families have direct ties to Abiding, including one that is part of the congregation.
