The King is coming! We know this—and we love it. One of the greatest sources of hope for God’s people is the promised arrival of a coming King. That hope is the one big idea that Christmas and the book of Revelation share. Both announce the arrival of the true King. Both introduce us to Jesus. Both proclaim light breaking into darkness. Both reveal the spiritual battle behind the scenes. Both remind us of God’s faithful promises—and the peace only Christ can bring.

Jesus is “the One who is, who was, and who is to come.”
